Background:

The company is a subsidiary of Shanghai Automotive Group Co., Ltd, a commercial vehicle manufacturing and car chassis system production enterprise, which is the backbone of Shanghai Volkswagen, Shanghai General Motors car chassis system supporting suppliers, won the Shanghai Volkswagen's "Gold Award for Outstanding Supplier" and Shanghai General Motors' "Global Project Award".

It headquartered in the Lujiazui financial and trade zone in Pudong, Shanghai. The company has seven production bases and four joint ventures, covering an area of 700,000 square meters, with a building area of over 400,000 square meters and employing more than 8,000 people, including more than 1,500 engineers and technicians. It is ranked 32nd among the top 100 enterprises in China's machinery industry, including the 20th in the automotive industry.

Its two main business segments are commercial vehicles and car chassis systems: commercial vehicles include the Istana commercial vehicle series and special vehicles, with an annual production capacity of 10,000 units; 15-ton heavy-duty vehicle series, including dump trucks, tractors, trucks and mixers, with an annual production capacity of 6,000 units. It also produces high class coaches and medium and large size buses. car chassis system products include front axle module, rear axle module and car parts exported to General Motor Corporation and Ford. It is the main supplier of car chassis systems for Shanghai Volkswagen and Shanghai General Motors, and the first-tier supplier of wrought aluminium products for General Motor Corporation and Ford.

Project information

The project adds EH32 rear axle line assembly line, electric drive sub-assembly line, rear sub-frame press-fit line, and structural parts (rod system) press-fit line (products include rear upper control arm, rear lower control arm, rear front upper control arm, rear front lower control arm). According to the product traceability catalogue, process traceability requirements, EH32 assembly traceability requirements is achieved. The architecture is mainly divided into three levels: data service layer, logical control layer and physical execution layer. 

The system is deployed on a server in the logical control layer, with the configuration software as the functional design and development platform. Data interaction and monitoring is achieved through standard communication protocols based on industrial buses such as Profibus, ProfiNet or EtherNet/IP and the underlying equipment. In addition, the system has an interface for data interaction with the upper data service layer, enabling local traceability data to be archived and uploaded.

Main modules:

1. Work order management

The corresponding work order plan is generated in the Work Order Management interface according to the production plan of the day.

The rework operation is carried out in conjunction with the production line PDA or HMI and the rework information is presented in the corresponding operable interface.
