How the collision protection effect is measured
 
 
1. Purpose of the Test
The machine tool directly collides to obtain the application effect of the system on the actual processing equipment on the customer site.
 
 
2. Preparation of Test
The IBU-NG collision protection system is used for testing and is designed to provide a timely alarm and shutdown in the event of a collision.
The system hardware can be temporarily externalized. For test sensitivity, protection of the machine tool and economic testing, small diameter discarded cutting tools can be used as test objects (the system does not monitor the cutting tool, it is only for testing). The following is a record of the process and results of a test on a customer site.

4. Summary of Effects
The purpose of the test is to provide a quantitative comparison of the IBU-NG collision protection system and to provide data on the effectiveness of the protection of the machine tool in practice, e.g. lateral, vertical or other directions of collision.
Based on the above measured effects and comparison of data, we can conclude the following.
① 1.The IBU-NG collision protection system is very responsive during rapid and subtle collisions of the machine tool and stops the machine tool in as short a time as possible, thus significantly reducing the damage caused by the collision of the machine tool. This is a very effective addition to the machine tool protection function. The alarm recording system has a data log to facilitate the determination of the cause of abnormal collisions.

②2.The stopping distance after a machine tool emergency stop is determined by the machine tool itself, which is reflected in the performance of the test data. The parameters of the machine tool system can be optimized to further reduce the stopping distance (as directed by the manufacturer) and reduce the resulting losses.
